For qualified candidates, counselling for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, or NEET UG 2023, will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and registration has been started from 20 July 2023. Eligible applicants for the NEET UG Counselling 2023 session must register, fill out their course and college preferences, and pay the application fee on the official website at www.mcc.nic.in. The NEET AIQ counselling process for 2023 will consist of four rounds: rounds 1 and 2, mop up, and stray vacancy.

NEET UG counselling 2023 will be the centralized process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government, deemed, and central universities across India. During registration, candidates need to provide personal details, NEET UG roll number, and other relevant information. It is crucial to fill in the details accurately, as any discrepancies may lead to disqualification.

During NEET counselling, candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses. Based on these choices, seat allotment is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Multiple rounds of seat allotment are carried out, considering factors like NEET rank and candidate preferences. 

The results of each round are published on the MCC website www.mcc.nic.in. Candidates who are allotted a seat must download their allotment letter and report to the respective college within the given timeframe.

• Look for the NEET Counselling registration link.
• Enter your NEET UG roll number, personal information, and contact information on the registration link.
• Upload NEET UG admit card and other required credentials.
• Pay the counselling registration fee online through the available payment options.
• Verify and submit the registration form.
• After registering, print the confirmation document for future reference.

NEET Counselling 2023 Eligibility criteria 

• Nationality: Indian citizen, OCI, NRI, PIO, or foreign national.
• Age: 17–25 (or 30–25 for restricted categories) years old.
• Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English required.
• Minimum Marks: General category: 50% PCB aggregate (40% SC/ST/OBC-NCL, 45% PwD).
• NEET UG Qualification: Must pass NEET UG 2023 with a minimum percentile.
• Registration: Register on the MCC website during the deadline.

Reporting to the Allotted College

Candidates must register at their assigned college within the given time limit after seat allocation. They must carry the required documents such as an allotment letter, NEET UG admit card, rank card, identity proof, and other relevant certificates for verification. If you don’t show up on time, you can lose your reservation.

Freezing, Floating, or Upgrading in NEET UG Counselling 

Candidates have the option to freeze, float, or upgrade their allotted seats. Freezing means accepting the allotted seat and not participating in further rounds. Floating allows candidates to accept the allotted seat while also applying for further rounds in the hope of securing a better seat. Upgrading means surrendering the allotted seat in search of a better one. It is essential to understand these options and make wise decisions based on individual circumstances.
