What is the process for challenging the JEE Main 2023 answer key?

The NTA offers a challenge option for the JEE Main Answer Key displayed on the website. A non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 must be paid by candidates when raising objections online. Credit/debit cards, Net Banking, and UPI/PAYTM services are the only methods of payment accepted online. Below are the steps for challenging the JEE Main 2023 Answer Key.

• You can download the JEE Main Answer Key by visiting the official website.
• To access your account, you will need your application number, password, or date of birth.
• You will be presented with a new window, click on the challenge(s) related to the answer key.
• There is a sequential listing of Question IDs for each of the three papers (B.Tech/ B.E, B.Planning, and B.Arch).
• Click on any of the Options IDs given in the next four columns if you have an objection.
• Using the ‘Choose File’ option, upload the supporting documents.
• Once you have saved your claim, you can proceed to the next screen, where you can view the Option IDs that have been challenged.
• Finally, click on the ‘Save Claim and Pay Fee’ button.
• Payment can be made via debit/credit card, net banking, or Paytm (INR 200 per challenge).
• After payment has been made, all challenges raised will be submitted. The candidates must now wait for the NTA’s decision on their challenges.

Important note:

Individual candidates are not informed of the acceptance or rejection of their challenges by NTA. It is instead the JEE Main Answer Key that is revised if the challenge raised is found to be correct, and any changes are applied to the answers of all the candidates who have taken the exam. After the challenge is finalized, the experts will finalize the JEE Main 2023 Answer Key. The final answer key is used by NTA when compiling JEE Main results.
