ISRO Moon Mission Chandrayaan 3 Status: All you need to know about it!

Chandrayaan 3 is the next lunar space exploration of India which was launched on 14 July 2023 at 02:35 pm It will lower its orbit toward the moon on 14 August 2023, as per isro.gov.in updates. Get the latest updates about ISRO Moon Mission Chandrayaan 3 Status here.

ISRO Moon Mission Chandrayaan 3 Status

In comparison to ISRO’s earlier missions, the Chandrayaan-3 project is a very difficult undertaking that represents a major technological advance.  Chandrayaan 3 was launched on 14 July 2023 and now it has been a month. Chandrayaan 3 has an Orbiter, Lander, and Rover to investigate the Moon’s undiscovered South Pole for a safe and sound landing. On 14 August 2023 it is closer to the moon and soon it will land safely. The spacecraft successfully completed the Trans Lunar Insertion (TLI) maneuver, which allowed it to leave the earth’s orbit and go in the direction of the Moon.

Chandrayaan-2 into Lunar Orbit

According to ISRO, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft entered a translunar orbit early on Tuesday and has already left Earth’s orbit. On August 5, it should reach a lunar orbit after traveling to the Moon for nearly five days. Once in lunar orbit, the spacecraft will descend into a lower and lower orbit until the lander and rover are prepared to be deployed.

ISRO has used cutting-edge technology and equipments for the safety of Chandrayaan 3. Its proper orbit around the Moon, will improve our knowledge of the moon’s evolution and enable us to study the minerals and water molecules in the Polar regions. The Orbiter camera, which has the best resolution of any lunar mission to date (0.3 m), will deliver sharp photos that will be of great use to the entire scientific community.

Chandrayaan-3 Latest Updates

On Monday, Chandrayaan-3, an Indian spacecraft, approach significantly closer to the Moon’s surface. It is a great news for everyone that Chandrayaan 3 has lowered the orbit around the Moon on 14 August 2023, between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has confirmed it and The spacecraft will be lowered by this maneuver from its current altitude of 1,437 km, bringing it even closer to the Moon’s surface.

Chandrayaan-3 Orbit Raising

The fifth and final orbit-raising maneuver of Chandrayaan-3 is accomplished. The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft finished its fifth and last orbit-raising maneuver on 25 July 2023. The next time the spacecraft will burn will be for the Translunar Injection on August 1, 2023, between 00:00 and 01:00 IST. If the spacecraft has reached the desired orbit, the space agency has not yet confirmed it.

There were so many challenges on the way of Chandrayaan 3 and it also consists the earthbound manover. Its entry into lunar orbit was a historical event, lander separation and a sequence of deboost manover has a fine landing under the supervision of P Veeramuthuvel.

Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission Current Status

ISRO’s 3rd lunar exploration Chandrayaan 3 has lowered its orbit as per the latest updates of ISRO. The previous Chandrayaan-2 mission, which aimed to place a lander and rover on the lunar surface, faced an obstacle during the landing phase and was deemed unsuccessful. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is putting efforst to execute the process and it is expected to hit the goal soon.

Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission 2023

Chandrayaan 3 moon mission was a proud moment for every Indian and it is getting successful beating all the challenges which came previously. However, specific details about the exact launch date and other mission aspects have not been officially announced yet. Since its launch on 14 July 2023, it is now closer to the moon and it will achieve the goal soon.
