The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) administers a statewide test to identify who is qualified to teach in India’s public schools. On April 27, 2023, the Central Teacher Eligibility Test-July 2023 will publish the CTET Notification 2023 on its website. Those who are interested in taking the CTET may do so by submitting an application via the website, www.ctet.nic.in/. Between April 27 and May 26, 2023, the registration link will be live.

CTET 2023 Notification

The exam typically takes place twice a year, in July and December, and it is mandatory for candidates who wish to teach classes I to VIII in government schools. 

The CTET 2023 notification has been released by the CBSE, and the exam is scheduled to be held in July 2023. Qualifications for teaching at the elementary level (Classes I–V) include either a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), with at least 50% marks in the candidate’s Senior Secondary (or equivalent).

How To Apply CTET 2023 Application Form Online?

• Step 1: To learn more about CTET, check out www.ctet.nic.in.
• Step 2: To apply online, click the button labelled “Apply Online.”
• Step 3: If you have already registered, log in to the website using your registration number and password. If not, click on the “New Registration” link and complete the registration process by providing the required details.
• Step 4: After logging in, fill in the application form with the necessary personal, academic, and contact details.
• Step 5: Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
• Step 6: Pay the application fee through online mode using a credit/debit card or net banking.
• Step 7: Review the filled-in application form and ensure that all the details are correct.
• Step 8: Click on the “Submit” button.
• Step 9:The application form may be downloaded and printed for convenience.

ctet.nic.in 2023 Registration

The CTET 2023 registration process is expected to begin in July 2023, and the process will be conducted on the official website of CTET – ctet.nic.in. Candidates who wish to apply for the exam must register themselves on the website by providing their basic details. Before registering for the exam, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the CBSE. 

Sources and the latest information indicate that the CTET 2023 notification will be available on the official site within the next several days. You may submit your registration form for the CTET 2023 test as soon as it becomes available in the month of September. 

Online test registration will end in July 2023. 

Therefore, prospective candidates should review the test information message before continuing with the Online Application Form. The CTET 2023 application process is also strictly electronic; paper forms will not be accepted.

CTET 2023 Important Documents

Candidates must keep the following documents ready before registering for CTET 2023:

• Photo and signature scans in the required format.

• Payment information (either a credit/debit card or internet banking) for the applicable cost.

CTET 2023 Exam Pattern 

• CTET exam is conducted in two papers – Paper I (for classes I to V) and Paper II (for classes VI to VIII).
• Each exam consists of 150 MCQs or multiple-choice questions.
• There is no penalty for incorrect answers and each question is worth one point.
• The test will go for a total of 2.5 hours.
• Paper I subjects include Introduction to Education, Language I and II, Mathematics, Ecology, and the Environment.
• Paper II covers topics such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Mathematics, and Science (for Mathematics and Science teachers), and Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teachers).
• Applicants have the option of showing up for Paper I, Paper II, or both.
• To qualify, candidates need to score at least 60% marks in the exam.
• The CTET credential has a seven-year lifespan.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2023

• Paper I (classes I–V) requires candidates to have completed, or be enrolled in the final year of, either a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in order to qualify.
• For Paper II (classes VI to VIII), candidates should have a graduate degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appear in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

The age limit for CTET is not specified.

There is no limit on the number of attempts that a candidate can make for CTET.

Candidates of all nationalities can apply for CTET, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
