KGBVs are government-run residential schools that have been established under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) programme. For the positions of Principals, CRTs, PGTs, and PETs, the merit in both academic and professional credentials will be calculated for 100 points as follows:

Post-Graduate – 30
B.Ed. – 15 Service weightage marks, who worked/worked in the KGBVs as Teaching Staff – 8 Communication Skills Test,
Demo, or Model Lesson – 15
